Instead of bottled water - Buy one bottle and refill it with filtered water. It will reduce the amount of plastic bottles you use and it will save you money.

Instead of a tissue - use a hankie. it is washable.

Instead of a napkin or paper towel - use a washcloth. They can be decorative, clean up more and are machine washable.

Every day a newspaper is delivered to your home. Most of use don't even read it everyday. Stopping your paper service and using the internet, radio or tv. will reduce the paper used and save you money.

Stop your magazine subscription - most magazines have an online subscription service with more information and updated more often.

Flyers, credit card offers, catalogs, junk mail. Putting a freeze on your credit report and taking your name off bulk mailing lists will reduce the amount of junk mail, reduce paper use and can help protect you against identity theft.

Changing your facets and shower heads to new low flow units will help save hundreds of gallons of water every year.

Replace your light bulb with new compact florescent light bulbs will save you up to 30% on your electric bill. Plus the bulbs don't give off much heat so it helps keep your home cool in the summer.

Turning off your computer, monitor, speakers and printer when you are not using them saves power.

Outdoor lighting wastes a lot of energy everyday. Make sure the on/off timers are set correctly. Replace old lights with new compact florescent bulbs or led bulbs. Many outdoor lights are available in solar power and work very well.
